Palmerston North, Manawatu March 16th, 2018 – By connecting IT experts, software developers and corporates with smart farmers and growers in a hackathon style, they’re given the opportunity to solve industry problems that can help further develop agriculture in our country in an accelerated amount of time.

This year AgTech Hackathon is on a mission to solve one of the biggest environmental issues, water. Here's your opportunity to tell us what keeps you up at night - what water issue is so pressing that you lose sleep? Could it be water additives, keeping our water ways clean, nitrogen leeching, farm run off? Or...

People have the opportunity for their issues to be heard and potentially solved by the experts in AgTech Hackathon. The competition for problem statements around water will be open now until April 5th with one person receiving $250 cash just for submitting a problem at www.hackathonmanawatu.nz/water-problems.

Once the competition closes the final water problem statements will be chosen ahead of AgTech Hackathon on May 3rd.
