Crispin Dye

Crispin Dye is a Venture Associate within the Sprout Investment Team. In this role, Crispin conducts due diligence on potential investments, identifies promising opportunities, presents these to the Sprout Investment Committee, and supports the success of portfolio companies.

Crispin began his career as an Analyst at Wellington UniVentures, working within the Commercialisation team to translate research into commercial impact across the full spectrum of scientific disciplines. His expertise spans the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, with a strong focus on science and technology commercialisation.

Crispin is a deep-tech and biotech enthusiast passionate about bringing cutting-edge science to the world through venture. He loves the challenge of identifying how technologies can fit into the market to have a global impact and working with people who use innovation to make a change in the world.

Outside of work, Crispin can often be found enjoying Aotearoa’s beautiful outdoors or with his nose in a good book. He is also a part of the Christchurch-based collective TyanHaus.

Crispin holds a Master's in Drug Discovery and Development from Victoria University of Wellington, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Otago.
